Metroline wins London Bus Route 266 contract with 10-year-old Euro IV buses

This is a short news update about London Bus services. TfL have awarded the 266 contract to Metroline using 2007 Euro IV double deck buses.

From LOTS news:

The Following TfL contract has been announced:

266 (24 hour) awarded to Metroline West (currently Tower Transit) with 2007 Euro IV double decks, PVR 27. Start date 29 July.

Note this is a short-term contract terminating no later than December 2019 to allow for the restructuring of the route in connection with the opening of the Elizabeth line.

Route 266 serves Brent Cross, Cricklewood, Willesden, Harlesden, North Acton, Acton, Askew Road and Hammersmith.

In my opinion, Metroline should be using Euro V hybrid buses because of diesel emissions which cause pollution, contribute towards global warming and cause health issues.
